This Year’s Community Service project:
As is TASFAA’s tradition, we will once again conduct a Silent Auction to benefit a local charity as part of our community service project. This year’s organization will be the San Antonio Food Bank.
The mission of the San Antonio Food Bank is to fight hunger in Southwest Texas through food distribution, programs, education and advocacy. Founded in 1980, The San Antonio Food Bank is a 501c3 non-profit organization providing millions of pounds of food to more than 500 charitable organizations in Southwest Texas serving those in need. In addition to food distribution, the San Antonio Food Bank provides numerous programs that not only solve the immediate problems of hunger, but help individuals and families gain long-term food security.
We are looking to the TASFAA community to donate items for the auction.
Watch your email for more information on how you can get involved!
However, if you do not have an item to donate for the silent auction, you can still help with a donation!
We are asking our TASFAA members to donate one of the top 12 most wanted items listed below
The President and CEO of the San Antonio Food Bank, Eric Cooper (not the same as the one serving on our TASFAA board J), has been invited to speak on behalf of the great work being done by the Food Bank. Additionally, a representative will be on-hand our last day to receive our donations! Your gift will be much appreciated!!
For more information about the San Antonio Food Bank, visit their website at www.safoodbank.org. Find them on Facebook at www.facebook.com/safoodbank or follow on Twitter at www.twitter.com/safoodbank.
If you have questions about donations, please email Eric Cooper at firstname.lastname@example.org.
